By setting the user access level to "Member", you will be able to control what these users can see and do within the Onomondo platform, based on the type of Tags associated with their user profile.

Setting up your Tags for access control

  1. Determine the level of user access

First step is to determine the level of access you wish to grant to a user.
The Onomondo platform classifies users into three levels: Owner, Admin, and Member. Owners have full access privileges, Admins have limited access.

Members gain access only when added to specific Tags. Otherwise, they will be unable to log into the platform or view any content due to lack of access rights.

  2. Decide on Write Access

Simply put, the Write Access setting allows you to choose whether you want to allow the users to edit or only to view the resources. When creating new Tags, Write Access will be disabled by default.

    Write Access disabled
Disabling this function restricts users to view SIMs with a given Tag on the SIMs tab and the individual SIM page, but they will not be able to edit, toggle the SIM activation button or associate other resources with a given SIM.

In addition, a user will be able to view the name of the network list along with the number of countries and networks included in the list. Similarly, within connectors, they can the name and type of connector.

    Write Access enabled

Enabling this function gives a Member user limited admin features. On the platform, a user with write access can modify connectors, SIMs and network lists associated with the same Tag. Additionally, they have the ability to create new connectors and network lists and link them to a SIM.

NOTE: Within the Dashboard and Usage tables, only usage will occur while a Tag is attached to a SIM. Therefore, even if the SIM has utilized data, it will not be reflected in the records, if the SIM are not tagged.

Associating a Tag with Member-level users

You can assign a Member to a Tag when you create/edit the Tag, or you can assign a Tag to a Member when you create/edit their user profile in the Users tab. To do this, the user Access Level needs to be set to "Member".

Once the Tag has been associated with a given Member, they can start accessing the platform and API based on the access control you have set up in the Tag.
