Before you can flash SoftSIM onto your device, you'll need to fetch the profile using the Onomondo SoftSIM CLI tool. This tool aids in management of your SoftSIM profiles both before and during the deployment of your devices.

What is the CLI tool?

A Command-Line Interface (CLI) tool is a text-based interface used for executing commands, managing files, and interacting with the operating system.

With your SoftSIM fetched and ready to use, the next step is to transfer it to your device. This varies depending on the type of module you are using with SoftSIM.

Now that you've transferred the SoftSIM onto your device, it's time to test it.

Log into your Onomondo platform account to monitor and manage your SoftSIM connection. By default, your SoftSIM will be active in your Onomondo account and attached to a global network list, in line with Onomondo’s Coverage Page.

Head over to the SIMs page, find the ID of the SoftSIM you’re testing, and use tools such as Network Logs and Traffic Monitor to see how your device is coming online.
