Environment

  • Onomondo app: Network Logs

  • Device: applicable to all

Issue

  • My device cannot connect to the network after crossing country borders.

  • There are no Network Logs since the device crossed borders.

  • There are no Signaling Logs since the device crossed borders.

Solution

  1. Check available networks and technologies

See our Coverage Page to determine whether your device is compatible with cellular technologies offered by local networks.

  2. Review Device Configuration

The device configuration may not be optimized for roaming in the country where issues were observed. Since the device is not attempting to connect to any network, check the following common configuration issues:

    • Bands: Check whether your chosen frequency bands are supported by the local operator(s).

    • Regional Settings: Verify that the regional settings on the module match the requirements.

    • NB-IoT Support (if applicable): Ensure that NB-IoT is enabled on the device, as this may affect connectivity.

If you are still unable to determine why the device isn’t attaching to the network, reach out to [email protected] and share the device logs or firmware connection logic (including any module configuration).

Cause

The absence of Network Logs and Signaling Logs from the current country suggests that the device may not be configured properly.

In some cases, the issue may stem from poor network coverage in border areas of the country. If the device is on the move, the problem may resolve itself with time.
