What happens when you update the data limit on the SIM?
Does
"usage for period"reset when you change data limit or the usage period?
Answer
Whenever you adjust either the data limit or the usage period on the SIM:
"Usage for period"counter resets,"Resets at"will display the end of the current calendar month / day, depending on the"Usage period"selected."Lifetime usage"counter is not affected.
Practical example:
On January 1st, the data limit on a SIM was set to 50 MB / month.
On January 15th, the device reached the data limit and stopped connecting.
On January 20th, the data limit was adjusted to 300 MB / month. The new limit was set to reset at: February 1st, 00:00 UTC.
Since the "Usage for period" counter was reset, your device would be able to consume additional 300 MB in the period between January 20th and February 1st. This can add up to the usage incurred before the change was made.
From February 1st onwards, your monthly data limit will remain at 300 MB.
