Can my device open multiple PDP contexts at once?

Answer

No. We do not support multiple contexts at the same time.

Cause

The rule of thumb is: one device = one PDP context = one Packet Gateway (PGW). This limitation is partially due to the fact that each device only has one SIM IP assigned to it.

When the Onomondo PGW(s) get data from the router, it looks at the device IP (private SIM IP) to figure out which tunnel it should use. If multiple tunnels are opened then it cannot know which IP to choose. There is a risk of data being transmitted on a wrong bearer.
