Make sure that APN, data roaming, and network selection settings are correct.

Environment

  • SIM: plastic / MFF2 / SoftSIM

  • Device: applicable to all

Issue

  • My SIMs cannot come online.

  • I have inserted the SIM into my device and it cannot come online.

  • I see "allowed to use data" in Network Logs, but no data sessions.

Solution

Once the device is turned on please make sure that:

  • The APN is set to: onomondo (spelled in all lower-case letters).

  • Data roaming is set to: enabled (if required).

  • Network selection mode is set to: automatic (recommended).

You can also use the Connecting with AT Commands to help you check your connection with most cellular modules.
