IMEI lock allows you to permanently pair the SIM with a single device.

What does the IMEI lock do?

Answer

  • The IMEI lock feature allows you to ensure that the SIM can only be used within the device it is intended to be used in (i.e. if the SIM card is misplaced, it will not work in a different device).

  • The lock can only be enabled once Onomondo retrieves the device IMEI via signaling

    • This usually occurs after the first time the device successfully authenticates with the network.

    • IMEI delivery is guaranteed on LTE, but not guaranteed on 2G / 3G.
