Question
How long are data sessions kept open on the Onomondo network?
How long does it take for the operator to close an active link when no data is sent by the device?
If the device is not sending data, will the session be kept alive?
Answer
Onomondo keeps each session tunnel open for 48 hours.
However, the local operator can have a different timeout logic in place.
The timeout can vary between operators.
π‘ To avoid issues, you can set the "network ping" timeout on the device. The device then sends a 0xFF
byte to your server every X
minutes to keep the link open.
